Other Opportunities
International College Students
God has sent us some wonderful international students from various countries in Asia to be a part of our family. They are studying at nearby Avila University and have come to us for help learning English. Some of our members have a Bible study with them on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday nights, helping them with English and studying the Bible. These students also are an active part of one of our small groups on Saturday nights.
Whether you speak another language or would just like to help these students, we hope you will join us!!
Red Hats
Our sisterhood of ladies 50 years and older is dedicated to encouraging and serving each other as well as others in the community. We have periodic fellowship meetings over brunch, enjoy holiday get-togethers, conduct service days at the church building, assemble care/holiday baskets, and host an annual ladies tea which is open to ladies of all ages. We welcome our “Pink-Hatted” sisters (those under 50) to any of our meetings and activities. (Note: wearing of any actual hat is “not required.”)
Cars Ministry
Some of our men work with our teens to fix up run-down cars and then give them away to those who are in need. This is a time for the men to pass on some useful skills to the teens and for them to all work together to help others.
