Kids' Classes

Our goal in the Children's Ministry is to teach the Bible. A group of ladies at our church wrote the curriculum that we use. The curriculum goes through the Bible chronologically in three years. The lesson on Sunday is reinforced on Wednesday night with "centers": lesson, application, and activity (like a craft). We will start back at Genesis in Fall of 2008 for another three year cycle. On Sunday morning, we have a unique "shepherding time" where two adults (usually a married couple) just get to know the kids and talk about their week, then pray with them. After about 20 minutes of shepherding time, the kids go to Bible class for the remainder of the hour.

On Sunday morning our classes are divided as follows:

• Nursery - 6 wks - 2 yrs old
• 2 and 3 yr olds
• 4 and 5 yr olds (not yet in Kindergarten)
• Kindergarten
• 1st and 2nd grade
• 3rd- 6th grade (for shepherding, they split into 3rd-4th, 5th-6th)

On Wednesdays, the division is the same except Kindergarten is with 1st and 2nd.

A Nursery is also provided during Sunday morning worship.
